How This Calculator Works

No guesswork. Just honest math.

Enter Real Spends

Input your actual monthly spend across 7 categories — not aspirational numbers. The more accurate you are, the better the result.

We Apply Card Rates

Each card has different reward rates for different categories. We apply the actual rates (not the advertised maximum) to calculate your real earnings.

Net Value After Fees

We subtract the annual fee (including 18% GST) to show you the true net value — what you actually pocket, not what the bank advertises.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know

What does "Effective Reward Rate" mean?
It's the percentage of your total annual spend that you get back as real value (cashback or points). For example, if you spend ₹4,80,000 and earn ₹13,800 net (after fee), your effective rate is 2.88%. This is what actually matters, not the "up to 5%" headline rate.
Why does rent and utility earn 0% on many cards?
Most Indian credit cards exclude rent, utility bills, insurance, government payments, and wallet loads from reward earning as these categories have thin margins for banks. Always read the T&C before assuming all spends earn rewards.
Are these reward rates accurate?
We use rates based on official card T&C and our editorial research as of 2025. Cards get devalued regularly. Use our Devaluation Tracker to stay updated on changes.
Does this include MCC-based restrictions?
This calculator uses simplified category rates. Real-world rewards can vary based on MCC (Merchant Category Code), monthly spend caps, and portal-specific bonuses. Always validate with the bank's official reward programme document.
